Realtek Announces Collaboration with Sound Research Corporation on Realtek Intelligent Audio Amplifiers
and DSP Products

HSINCHU, Taiwan – January 06, 2015 – Realtek Semiconductor Corp. (Taiwan Stock Exchange: 2379.TW) is collaborating with Sound Research Corporation, a world leader in consumer product and PC sound modules and automated tuning solutions, to co-develop the industry‟s first self-tuning, high fidelity Intelligent Amplifier for embedded PC, cell phone and tablet audio chipsets.

Unlike traditional smart amplifiers, the Realtek Intelligent Amplifier is optimized for low voltage operation, yet still features impressive Sound Pressure Level (SPL) boost capability and optimized power utilization that delivers high fidelity audio performance that transcends existing audio solutions at only a fraction of the cost.

By combining Trigence Semiconductor’s patented Dnote® digital amplifier IC solutions with micro-speakers from AAC Technologies containing 6 voice-coils, in a thin tablet form-factor, the DSMs are able to achieve sound pressure levels (SPL) exceeding 87dB at typical listening positions.
